The real platform can embed your training video here before learners continue.
This starter session helps staff recognise when something may be a safeguarding concern and respond proportionately. It does not turn staff into investigators. It reinforces noticing, recording, reporting and staying within role.
Concerns may include changes in behaviour, unexplained injuries, repeated absences, worrying comments, fearfulness, disclosures, neglect indicators, exploitation signs or patterns that feel unusual for the child or adult being supported.
Stay calm, listen without promising confidentiality, avoid leading questions, record the concern accurately, follow your organisation’s safeguarding procedure and speak to the DSL/safeguarding lead as soon as possible.
In the live platform, the learner’s score, attempts, feedback, CPD hours, badge progress and certificate status would be saved to their CPD record and visible to managers where appropriate.
Wrong answer. Red X. Try again.
Feedback explains the risk, why the answer was tempting, and what safer practice looks like next time.
